One of Orlando’s Most Experienced & Effective Marriage Counselors

No relationship is immune to difficulty. Everyone falls into damaging patterns of communication from time to time, but the difference between relationships that die and ones that thrive is defined by how quickly you are able to turn those patterns around. That is what makes marriage and family therapy so essential. Whether you find yourself in the midst of a divisive family conflict, a marriage on the verge of divorce, or are trying to save a family business from interpersonal power struggles, know that that there is a path out of the woods. But you may need to reach out to someone who knows the way and that requires you to find a relationship counselor. Just read what one of Cathy’s recent clients had to say about the marriage and family therapy process:

“We’ve learned a lot about ourselves and each other, and we have a much better understanding of the individual issues that we each bring to our relationship. When we do experience a conflict, we are able to resolve it more easily and with much less emotional turmoil. Cathy provided a comfortable, safe environment and encouraged us to stretch ourselves, take risks, and grow emotionally.”

Cathy’s marriage and family business consulting certifications & accomplishments include:

  • Certified Marriage & Family Therapist by the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (2004)
  • Certified Supervisor for Therapists learning the EFT Model, by the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (2013)
  • Former adjunct instructor in the University of Central Florida Master’s Program for Clinical Social Workers (2007-2009)
  • Family Firm Institute Certificate holder for achieving comprehensive professional knowledge and expertise as a Family Business Advisor (2014)
  • Family Business Consultant (Since 2004)
  • Member of the National Association of Social Workers

On a personal note, Cathy has been happily married for more than 25 years, and has one adult son, a teacher in Orlando. She and her husband enjoy traveling and entertaining. Cooking, gardening, and yoga are Cathy's favorite hobbies. Phoebe, a rescue shih tzu & beloved member of Cathy's family, often accompanies Cathy to the office, and is an asset to her practice.

Client Testimonials

"My wife and I met with Cathy over a period of three months to address long conflict in our 11 year marriage. We had almost given up when we started seeing her, but within a couple of weeks we were communicating better and understanding each other on a deeper level. She helped save our marriage, and we are extremely pleased with her approach."

"We sought marriage therapy with Cathy after seeing another therapist for several months. We weren’t making progress and were feeling even more discouraged when we decided to start over with Cathy. She got to the core of our problems very quickly. We are happier now than we have been in a very long time."

"Cathy helped us recover from my husband’s affair that rocked our marriage to its foundation. I was devastated and scared when we started, and didn’t know if our marriage would survive. She skillfully guided us through the process of healing and recovery, and we are in a much better place now than before the affair."

"My wife and I have a long distance marriage, and we were contemplating divorce when we decided to give it one more try. Some friends recommended Cathy Bronza. Although we met with her only once a month for two hours at a time, she was able to lay out a plan for us to strengthen our bond and fall in love with each other all over again. We have been married for 35 years."

"We traveled from out of town to work with Cathy. She met with us in an intensive format over weekends, and we made tremendous progress. It was an investment but well worth it. We understand our triggers, and how to keep our marriage growing and thriving. We highly recommend the weekend intensive format."

"My fiance and I sought premarital counseling with Cathy Bronza. She brought potential triggers to light that we weren’t even aware of. We are more confident now moving toward marriage that our bond will last."

"We were in the process of divorce when some friends told us about how Cathy Bronza helped their marriage. We called her because we have small children and wanted to be sure we were doing the right thing. Although it was hard going for awhile, she made a safe place for us to grow and heal, and we are still married and happy that we avoided a terrible mistake in ending our marriage."

"We read Hold Me Tight and wanted to find a therapist who practices the EFT for couples model. We found Cathy who is the most credentialed therapist in that model in the State of Florida. We have made great progress in strengthening our marriage with her. The model works great."

"When my wife got pregnant last year unexpectedly we contacted Cathy Bronza to help us prepare for the upcoming changes in our marriage. We were already experiencing some stress and felt like roommates a lot of the time. I can’t say enough about how much she helped us deepen our intimacy and get well prepared for how our baby would impact our lives."

"We went on-line to find an EFT certified marriage counselor because we did a lot of research and found that to be the most research supported model. Cathy Bronza is a supervisor of other therapists learning that model. She is warm, skillful, and understanding of how intimate relationships work. We are very happy with her services."
